Tennessee Enhanced Armed Guard Rifle

Service Description

This intensive 4-day program provides the comprehensive training required for enhanced armed guard certification in Tennessee. The curriculum covers state legal statutes, use of force, firearms safety, and advanced tactical proficiency. Upon successful completion, participants will meet the training requirements for official state licensure. Completion of the course does not automatically ensure you meet the background requirements to obtain the certificate. Requirements to obtain the certification are: You must have either 4 years in a Combat MOS and/or 5 years of Law Enforcement Experience. Obtaining the certification does not automatically allow you to carry the rifle. The company worked for will determine the need for you to carry it. Equipment needed: 1. AR style rifle with either iron sights or mag pull style flip ups. Optics are optional but allowed. You will qualify with the iron sights before the optics. 2. Single, 2 point, or 3-point sling sling 3. Minimum of 500 rounds of ammo for your rifle. Time allowing, we may use as many as 750 4. Although we should have cleaning kits on hand, you should bring your own if you have one. 5. At least three 20 or 30 round magazines. Do NOT bring magazines with a capacity larger than that. It won't be allowed. 6. A vest capable of carrying your magazines and magazine holder The range we will be using is an outdoor range, so make sure you bring water and snacks. There will be a 1-hour lunch break each day. The class will be from 0830-1630 each day, with a possibility of going over time by an hour or so. The shotgun is also a part of the enhanced program now. You will have the option in class to attend class an extra day to get the shotgun certification for a $150 fee.
